The adventures and struggles of a petite, geeky journalist-in-training living in New Zealand.
I went to the official launch of the not-for-profit programme for which I am the media liaison officer tonight. It was rather fancy, with these tiny bite-sized snacks which had smoked salmon and probably even scallops (which are one of the least environmentally friendly shellfish in terms of harvesting methods). I wore this dress that fits me like a sleeve, to use a cliche. It makes me feel confident, and I also love it because it’s formal, but not to0 formal and definitely does not have a ‘prom’ feel to it. It was worn with my new studded platform booties –their first outing!– green ‘crystal’ (read: glass) earrings, a tarnished silver rose necklace and a snakeskin clutch.
